I ran into problems using a 250GB LaCie P3 USB 2.0 hard drive on an
OpenBSD 3.5 system, and I was wondering if someone knows the solution.

The problem is that OpenBSD refuses to mount the filesystem on the hard
drive. The filesystem is formatted as FAT32 but OpenBSD does not want to
recognize it:
