Disk space / installation questions w/ 3.5

I have a Dell 1650 w/ 3 73G disks,  Raid 5.  From the 3.5 cd35.iso boot,  
I see in dmesg:

sc0: 139996MB, 17847 cyl, 255 heads, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sec, 286712005 sec total

When formating the disk however (fdisk durring install),  we see:

disk: sc0     geometry: 8923/255/63 [143347995 Sectors]

So some how half of the disk is missing!  Any suggestions?  I've not tried 
any other releases (ie 3.4),  but the April 20 snapshot does the exact 
same thing.
