Damnit I've been subscribed to this list for less than 6 months and
already it has turned into a dumping ground for clueless idiots.
Doesn't anyone check the archives anymore ? Less than 3 days ago someone
set up a web-site to gather this sort of HOWTO. *That* would be an
appropriate place for this stuff. (In my understanding, misc@ is not.)
If everyone is going to post pointers to their "Unofficial" setup and
configuration notes on this list, then it will be swamped by drivel that
in all likelyhood will be out of date and incorrect. Much of the appeal
of this list is diminishing as a result.
It must be the season of goodwill because it appears that more people
posting stupid questions (that 5 minutes of searching archives could
resolve) are being spoon-fed answers rather than being told to RTFM. Sheesh!
