I have a couple of via m10000's in sereniti 2000 cases running as
file-servers with sw RAID, which they do fine. And yes, the fan is
noisier than I'd like. Only problem until now is that you can't switch
back to console from X with ctrl+alt+Fn, the display becomes garbled.

This seems due to bios/driver issues and playing with the settings had
me repeatedly taking the box apart to short the CMOS.

One word of caution is the case/component placement, I just got a very
compact travla c138 case: if you fill it up the HD is right next to CPU
and temp. shoots up past 70 deg C quite easily. Not sure how bad this is.

I also found a doc which has some nice comparative details on the
various procs etc. Unfortunately, it seems to live only in the google
cache. google for : epia_howto.pdf
