Possible bug

I know this sounds strange, but if I 'more fstab' and then 'man mount'
my computer acts as if I have just pressed the return key and not let go.
Nothing short of killing the shell will stop it either. This happens both
as myself and as root. I am running 2.2/i386 installed from the cd and I am
using csh.  A 'set' gives:

MushMouth:hw1 {120} set
argv    ()
cwd     /usr/home/jackson/hw1
filec
history 1000
home    /usr/home/jackson
ignoreeof
mail    /var/mail/jackson
mch     MushMouth
path    (/usr/home/jackson/bin /bin /sbin /etc /usr/bin /usr/sbin /usr/host /usr
/local/bin /usr/games /usr/X11/bin .)
prompt  MushMouth:hw1 {!}
prompt2 ?
savehist        100
shell   /bin/csh
status  0
term    vt100
user    jackson

I have absolutly no idea what could be causing this since I have made
very few changes since installing. Any thoughts?
