I have had a similar problem with adaptec 2940UW -

I upgraded to a better motherboard, which supports SDRAM and supports SCSI
boot in the BIOS...nice... I installed OpenBSD with floppy-6.fs from
austin.brandonu.ca and installed the Feb 22 snapshot.. It installed an
MBR, everything went nice, and I was able to reboot automatically and all
those nice things. Then, the system just crashed, no panic recorded.

Now I can boot from a disk 'boot hd0a:/bsd' but it won't automatically -
it stops at the same place "Using disk 0 partiton 3"... I figured it was
just my own fault, but
