What do you do to resolve the problem that cvs update changes the file
permissions to 644?  Or do you not care too much?

I've since decided that I will cvs -r update to grab the whole thing
read-only, so permissions don't matter too much now :-)  But I'm kind of
curious as to why cvs update squashes the existing permissions, or at
least doesn't respect the umask.
