RE: Microsoft Exchange Server Connection
Quick answer to the email part:
If the admins haven't blocked POP, you may be able to
point fetchmail at the POP port on the Exchange Server
and move or copy your files to a BSD system. Run
sendmail or postfix on the OpenBSD box to catch the
mail.
I am in a similar situation except to add insult to
injury, setting up the Exchange Server was one of my
first assignments. It is six months since then and I
am still recovering from the brain damage incurred.
We run our Exchange Server (about 120 users) on a fancy
new Compaq rack mount box (cost lots of $$$ to keep the
suits in MIS happy), so it only takes 2 minutes from
initial POP3 connection until it downloads the first
2Kbyte message.
