I was agreeing with you up until this point. The elitist attitude -
displaced as it is - serves as a good reminder that if you _don't_ know
what you're doing, no amount of security or integrated crypto will help
you. In fact, many systems fail for just this reason, because the users
don't know how to properly use it but assume they do while J. Random
Cracker takes advantage of their ignorance.
Not every other operating system is as security-conscious as OpenBSD. Is
it unfair to expect the users to be, too?
