This problem should be gone now since shared libraries
for perl have been activated on ppc now.  Thanks to josh
for testing that it did indeed work on the ppc with this
module.

(incidentally, this also clears a lot of the other CPAN
ports to work on the ppc, such as p5-HTML-Parser etc,
which all have shared components built)
