the mkisofs that front ends are looking for is not the one that openbsd
includes. this can cause problems. if it's renamed, then i'd have to
make symlinks or patch xcdroast to use smkisofs instead.

mea culpa. i thought it *was* released since the new version of xcdroast
requires it. but the author just chose to depend on 1.11 alpha series
since it is nearing release.
