Opera 6.11 - freebsd emulation
I have tested Opera 6.11 under both linux and freebsd
emulations today under 3.2-release (I do not have a
-current box right now, sorry :( ). While the linux
version appered somewhat unstable (crashed),
the freebsd version appears rock-solid :).
I dont have time to create an proper update
to the port but testing is quite easy:
* install /emul/freebsd_lib port
* download and extract opera 6.11 for freebsd (static version)
* patch the binary:
echo 'FreeBSD' | dd of=opera bs=1 count=7 seek=8 conv=notrunc
* backup your .opera directory, just in case ;)
* execute 'runme.sh' (no need to install)
