Re: License question: mod_throttle
(Following up to myself)
Please disregard my post in defense of mod_throttle. I just got
through skimming the announcement to deny new ports of nonfree
software.
I do, however, have something to say about it: Congratulations, Theo
et al. You just took the OpenBSD project where even Debian, bastion of
the FSF, would not dare to go in regards to accepted third party
software. Unfortunately, in doing so, you have consigned yourself to
irrelevance for still more groups of people who had been unalienated
by previous religious decisions by the OpenBSD team.
Eventually, maybe, you'll decide that your decision was hasty and
foolish, and you'll reverse it (propolice? portmap? W^X? Maybe I'm the
only one who remembers the project's previous stance on these issues),
but I of course am not holding my breath that zealots such as
yourselves will ever lower your stance in this.
