Great, so now people can end up breaking copyright law, and not even be 
aware of it, since the program won't say anything.
IMNSHO, a far better solution would be to say: Performing this action 
may be illegal dependending on the license and/or copyright you recieved 
this document under.  Do you wish to continue (yes/no)?  And then doing 
what the user asks.
