Someone else posted the same thing a few months ago. I don't think they
were heard from again.

I found a manual install according to the PG's INSTALL instructions to
go smoothly. I turned off just about all the ./configure options I could
find.

The port doesn't seem to be actively maintained, which is a shame
because OpenBSD and PostgreSQL both have similar capitalization schemes
in their names. Once we get SMP, it could be a great platform for a
great database.

The old port was adding patches that didn't apply properly to the new
version, nor was it clear to me why they were needed.

I would like a port with just a minimal server configuration, and a
minimal client configuration.
