Re: About fxtv to OpenBSD 2.8

Thank you really much for the answer. What I tried was that I installed the
fxtv 0.48 packages with its dependencies from the Openbsd 2.6 CD.

And it works now ... but Openbsd hangs pretty often, especially when trying
to move or resize the window.

I don't know if it would be a better idea to install the package from
openbsd 2.7 and make this link that you mentioned ?

Have you managed to install fxtv 1.02, when I tried to compile it it says
that "Unknown OS" or something.

I would also like to use this camera to distribute images to the local
webserver.
Do you know any kind of cam server of some sort that works with openbsd ??

Thanks,

It's marked as BROKEN in the ports tree:

BROKEN= "security issues with tempnam(), to fix"

It is searching those files in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fxtv and they are
installed in /usr/local/lib/X11/fxtv.

ln -s /usr/local/lib/X11/fxtv /usr/X11R6/lib/X11

works for me.
