Re: Why won't you just shut up?

I'm sure many people are concerned with where the project is going. Maybe
this is not the right place for these posts, but, I'm sure they would die
real fast if there was actually a project in the works so people could
start coding. And maybe that project is already in the works. Until then
I dont' see anything wrong with people trying to offer input to help
solve the problem.

Also, I don't think posts like yours help the situation any. Calling
people dumb and ignorant and telling them they make you 'goddamn sick'
only further feeds the flame and makes them wonder if this project has
what it takes to continue being successful.

I'm sure Mr de Raddt has plenty to deal with right now but I think his
attitude is wrong. I know this is not a popularity contest but that
doesn't mean we have to forget your manners and show disrespect. Telling
your users who are trying to offer input to 'shut up and go away' would be
considered rude where I come from.

In the mean time what happened to goal number 7? I agree what Darren's
license is not fit for openbsd, but I find it shocking that he's not even
willing to talk with Theo. And I'm sure Darren has a reason for this.
Then Darren sends posts to the ipfilter list talking of threats made by Mr
de Raddt. This sounds very political to me. But maybe that's good. This
may yield another chance to show off technical merit.

Let the flames begin.
