Sure.  Go ahead, fix it.  :-)

I won't abuse you like some of the others here are almost certain to,  but
as you probably know free software is written mostly by volunteers and if
something gets fixed it is only because someone feels like fixing it.

Until IBM declares OpenBSD the next big thing in their plans to dominate the
world, and throws two buildings full of programmers at it, we'll have to be
happy (and I am) with the speed of volunteers.  Oh and also cross your
fingers and hope that IBM doesn't want to "contribute".
