does 2.9 pppd support mschapv2?

hello all,

Trying to use pptp to authenticate with a Win2k pptp server that
utilizes mschap-v2. After 40+ google and mail archive searches banging
my head on the keyboard for the past 4 hours.. thought I'd make sure
that pppd in 2.9-RELEASE supports mschap-v2..

I'm wondering if this is the cause because the I get "CHAP failed" on
the OpenBSD client, but the server just has error type messages in the
logs... as if it can not understand the request..

I'm using 2.9-RELEASE and pppd version 2.3 patch level 5
