libncurses (due to lynx2-8-4.pre2)

Hello,
I noticed that the new curses library is referred to as
libcurses.so.8.0, and not, as in e.g. linux, libncurses.

In order to compile lynx2-8-4pre2 successfully I have made
a symbolic link from libncurses.so.8.0 to libcurses.so.8.0
and now am asking me whether this is the correct solution.

Lynx has support for four different flavours,
 none, slang, curses (old) and ncurses.

So I cannot simply use curses because that would use the older
library functions.

As to now it works quite well, but I'd like to hear some
experts' opinion on this.
