Davicom DM9102

I posted earlier regarding the dc driver for a Davicom DM9102
ethernet chipset and some problems with the "Watchdog Timer Expired"
message. Referencing the driver man page the message it mentions that
interrupt delivery on packet transmission might not be happening. This
problem occurs more frequently in 100Meg mode, but it does happen when
running at 10/half.

When the error starts showing up, the network is unusable and it
usually takes a few minuted for things to return to some semblance of
normal.

My question is, should I look at playing with bios settings (it's a
built-in ethernet and used to have IRQ 3 but after disabling USB/LPR and
other unused onboard functions it now uses IRQ 7.) How can I determine if
it's settings, driver problem, or bad chips? I have tried different
ethernet cables, plugging it into different switches/hubs so I'm pretty sure
a bad cable has been eliminated.

Relevant dmesg info attached.
