Update: After hard formatting the disk (using the SCSI-controller's
format option), "machine diskinfo" shows an geometry of 1023 cylinders,
255 heads and 63 sectors. After installing OpenBSD, 62 sectors seem
to have disappeared, using the very same bootdisk (floppy30.fs).
This does not happen installing OpenBSD 2.9.
Can someone give me an explanation for this?
And in case anyone has wondered, I have tried the tips from the FAQ,
obviously without success. fdisk and easyboot tend to screw up my
filesystems (guess why), and running installboot again does not help.
Regards,
cmt
