Sigh. Do we really need to go lower ourselves to bugtraq standards where any
bug generates and endless stream of "I tried the eploit on my coffee machine
and it didn't work."? If you don't understand the problem, don't speculate
if it exists or not with "monkey with a typewriter" behavior.
Is it so hard to read cvs logs that the bug was introduced in June 1999?
Which means it has been with us since OpenBSD 2.6. The fact that the particular
exploit didn't work means that the particular exploit doesn't work, not that
the bug isn't there.
And what's all the fuss about anyway? A localhost crash. Big deal. I guess
on average we fix one of them every week.
