FYI:

This thread sparked alot of off-list responses for me, so I apologize if I missed anyone, and am replying to the list to let everyone know that it worked beautifully. In under two hours, I had a brand-new, fully configured webserver with all the goodies on the side...

Being used with Solaris, as soon as the machine came back up, I found myself wanting to "touch /reconfigure" or "sys-unconfig" and realized that "I wasn`t in Kansas anymore..." . Aside from manually editing /etc/hostname.le0 etc.etc.etc., doesn`t OpenBSD have something to completely wipe the box clean and start anew?

| Thanks for the advice. However, I was contacted off list by someone who told me that I could simply tar-n-gzip up my filesystem and make it the "base29.tgz" for my installation. I found this to be extremely quick and simple *and* I can use my existing Solaris jumpstart machine to NFS export the base29.tgz to wherever I wish. Beautiful simplicity...

However, sometimes you just have to deal with what you`ve got and wait patiently for your chance to say "Told ya so!" That being said, If you happen to have any documentation ( hard evidence other than the obvious "It get to pick my nose for two whole days while apache compiles, all the while we`re consuming enough power to feed several third-world countries..." ) handy to help me prove this point, it would be grrrrrreatly appreciated.
