route filtering underway because most routers were not powerful
enough to handle all advertised routes. One example then was a big
ISP filtering away anything smaller than /20 (or /19, can't
exactly remember). So for most "normal users" going multihomed
with their own official AS + PI space can safely be ruled out
under such circumstances...

While we are off topic like this, has anyone a good idea about
how to most efficiently filter dark space?

PI space is usually allocated (in RIPE at least) from 'older' 193.* space,
and I do not know of anyone actively filtering this type of space.

Meanwhile 'dark space' ??? Ce ?
