Watchdog Timeout error on DHCPREQUEST
I have a OpenBSD 2.9 machine running as a very simple firewall.
Hardware:
Asus TUV4X VIA VT82C694T North Bridge with VIA VT82C686B South Bridge
256M Ram
Celeron 700Mhz
(2) 3COM 3C905's
1.3 Gig IDE HD
Floppy
IDE CD-rom
Now whenever I boot the machine and the card that is configured for DHCP
(xl0) attempts to fetch a ip I get two errors.
1. I get "xl0 Watchdog Timeout:" and it kicks the card into another wait
interval.
2. if I get a IP it then tells me:
DHCPACK from 12.242.16.34 rejected due to bogus yiaddr of 0.0.0.0
Then is tells me "Core dumped"
ummm what? I am not sure where to go from here. I have to be totally
honest that I am not sure how proceed from here. On one last note, if I do
a dhclient from the command line it tells me "segmentation fault
(coredumped)".
Thanks for anyone that can help.
