OpenBSD and rpc.statd
Hi!
It is, maybe, old and forgotten question, but i can not found the answer.
I use OpenBSD as NFS-Server, and i need locking. For locking it's exists 2
(?) daemons: rpc.lockd and rpc.statd. Rpc.lockd use rpc.statd for monitoring.
But on OpenBSD is the rpc.statd not exists, why? I have looked at CVS
sources, and search on FAQ and web. On the rpc.lockd man page i have seen this line
"See also: rpc.statd(8)" but this man-page is not exists.
Where is rpc.statd? How can i use locking without rpc.statd? (sorry, but in
every documentations that i have read, is rpc.statd required).
Thank you for answer,
Alex.
