Last weekend I installed OpenBSD 3.1 (CVS tag OPENBSD_3_1 as of May 4)
on my home box (i386). Setting an proxy arp entry as I did in 2.7 to 3.0
(arp -s 172.20.12.38 00:80:48:DB:AC:E8 pub) sets the desired entry,
but my box does not answer for requests matching that entry.
I checked for typos several times but with no result. Browsing through
the CVS logs didn't show anything (I considered) related.
Did I just miss something or have I triggered a bug?
Using a GENERIC kernel does not help. The not-answering interface
is a wb0 (Compex ReadyLink 100).
Setting static ARP entrys on other machines in the network allows
communication between those machines and 172.20.12.38, but this is
not an long-term solution.
Any hints?
Regards,
cmt
