Re: new options for ifconfig

Theo -

I highly respect you for your contributions to the cause of security (which continually amazes me how you have such a drive to maintain and improve OpenBSD release after release). But, your 'ignorance' amazes me each time I see your replies. This seems like it would be a good patch, if just for the fact that it would simplify day to day writing of scripts for people. It would allow them to dedicate time to making other parts of their scripts run better. Now, I know you would likely argue that I am 'ignorant' (I know you favor that word) but I would say your use of it shows that you have no idea what it means. One day I would hope you will think of others and not just yourself in deciding to select a patch or decline a patch. Some people would have favored that, and it is sad that you do not have the foresight to realize that. I would have thought someone in your position would have been much less bitter, seeing the good that you do every day just by developing this OS. Instea!
d you take this hardline, ass---- approach to things, which is unfortunate.

Sincerely,

Theo The Rat
