Some strangeness in ver 3.2

We just installed ver 3.2,  and what would cause it to boot up and not cause the console to provide a login prompt.    But once it boots up,  I can access it through SSH,  but not the console.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

What I need to know,  is the boot sequence of OpenBSD,  like what calls "rc".  Apparently what calls it,  is not working.    I'm just trying to get the default install working right now.

I'm not exactly sure if this is the appropriate list,   if not,  would like to know what list I should post this,  and how I can get moved to the right list.
