twe driver?

I have a Escallade 6410 configured as RAID 5 with 4x40 drives. One of the 
drives died, so I replaced it. Reconfigured the array in BIOS, no problem.

The problem IS that the twe driver apparently is not 'seeing' the 'ready 
for rebuild status'! Tried 3Ware support - they suggested upgrading the 
6410 BIOS. No Joy.

I know 3Ware has been flakey in support, .. but does anyone have a way to 
get the twe driver to rebuild the array (if I understand the linkage 
between the BIOS and driver correctly)?
