SOCKS5 + LDAP Auth

Hello,

I have been using Linux + PAM_LDAP + DANTE SOCKS5 with LDAP auth for
some time.

Now I am about to migrate to OpenBSD, but I am beginning to see quite a
problem here: as I can understand, DANTE implementation of SOCKS5 relies
strongly on PAM_LDAP hated by OpenBSD people.

I can't give up on LDAP auth - not by a chance. It is impossible that
after years of good quality service connected to LDAP I should now ask
people to maintain some different password somewhere else, not to mention
that it would be quite hard in an organization of 15,000+ people. (Also,
my boss just LOVES LDAP.)

I can't give up easily on DANTE implementation. It's been certified,
proved and, what's more, this one is maintained by the manufacturer
(unlike, say, NEC implementation).

IMHO Google doesn't know any solution. Does anyone of you, guys?

Thanks in advance,

Ivan Dolezal
