The tibook works very well for me.  For laptops, it is best to see if 
anyone else has your model working, and in what condition.  APM/ACPI, 
video, network, modem all tend to be "problem areas".  APM generally 
works, ACPI doesn't.  Video depends on the chipset, I like the ATI 
chipsets personally.  Network cards tend to be rl (shudder), with a 
decent minorty of fxps.  Built-in modems rarely work.

information.
