CVS and egcs

I've been trying to update my src tree and I keep running into the
same problem.  When I get to src/gnu/lib/libg++ CVS will exit with:

  cvs [update aborted]: there is a version in src/gnu/lib/libg++ already

and it gets a little farther each time I run an update.

I am running:
  % cd /usr
  % cvs up -PAd
and
  % cvs up -PAd src/gnu/lib/libg++
when it stops there

I am aware that the move to egcs has made major changes in this and 
similar directories (most are now completely empty).  Should I just wait 
a few days and try again?  Thanks.
