This works remotely (sort of) but not from localhost apparently. WHat did
I miss there?

Also, the specific application here is that when you telnet to port 23 of
the internal machine, it runs a database query application that is
normally accessed via dialup line or dedicated VT terminal. when you
connect from the IPNAT machine with the right TERM settings, it works, but
remotely it does not respond correctly. Would that be anything that ipnat
or ipf is doing? or would that soley be an application problem on the
other server?
