X11 issues
Ok. Everybody who is testing X snapshots (and I trust you are testing
x snapshots along with the regular base operating system) .. listen up.
It is very important that you tell what date your files are when you
report bugs because there are some older snapshots out there that will
bite you. Namely:
sparc - a version of x*gz got out with group 111. This is now fixed in the
x snapshots made available today filtering their way to the
mirrors. If it is not dated October 13th or later, you have an
old copy.
i386 - I don't know how old nor how long ago the snapshot was for i386 that
had the x server linked against libi386.so.2.0 but apparently some
of you have an older version that has this still. If you get the
error that your X server cannot find libi386.so.2.0 get a newer
snapshot.
mac68k - there has been a bug found that requires disabling the xkb
extensions. Please disable it by adding -kb for now on the X server
command line, and expect a snapshot soon to have this flag as the
default.
Thank you for your testing,
