2.4 CDs

Well...

I've seen the first of the 2.4 CDs.. the discs turned up today, but
the paper was still bumping around in some delivery truck as of 4PM
today, so apparently the fully packaged units will get to me sometime
tomorrow.

If that happens, it means that the 2.4 CDs will ship earlier than
expected (actually, I kind of wanted to have them ship a bit before
december 1.)  Those of you who have already filed orders via the web
ordering system at www.openbsd.org/orders.html will get your CDs sent
out the door in pretty much in the same order as which they were
ordered (I suspect that Fedex and such orders will probably be sent
out earlier).

Various bulk orders to bookstores and other distributors will also go
out the door ASAP. Those distributors are also listed and described by
country at www.openbsd.org/orders.html

I'd also like to mention that the stickers turned out _very_ nicely.

Each CD unit has a total of 4 stickers included: 2 of the new "Because
security matters..." OpenBSD 2.4 "full daemon stabbing at you with the
fork" stickers, plus 2 of the cartoon-ish "strong crypto" blowfish
stickers.  (be sure to only put these stickers on systems which
contain strong crypto! :-)

The stickers are the same basic high-quality white vinyl type that we
shipped with 2.2, but the artwork is much improved.  We also had these
made quite a bit bigger.  I hope people like the stickers; it's a
little perk that I like to include with the CDs (and sorry -- they are
NOT available except with the CDs! ... unless people want to pay me
really nicely, I intend to keep it as a "buy a CD, get stickers" type
of deal.)

I will likely delay the real 2.4 release notice until either December
1 (.... or December 10 when the 2.4 hits the FTP sites.. I have not
decided yet).
