I've been following the instructions at:
http://www.openbsd.org/faq/faq5.html
And have successfully built both a kernel and userspace
in the past, and am running a kernel and userpsace from early April,
successfully built everything last on about the 10th of April, from
same tag checked out on the 8th or 9th.
I am tracking the OPENBSD_3_6 tag. I use the following to build
userspace:
cd /usr
export CVSROOT=anoncvs_(_at_)_anoncvs3_(_dot_)_usa_(_dot_)_openbsd_(_dot_)_org:/cvs
cvs -d$CVSROOT checkout -rOPENBSD_3_6 -P src
rm -rf /usr/obj/*
cd /usr/src
make obj
cd /usr/src/etc && env DESTDIR=/ make distrib-dirs
cd /usr/src
make build
This fails after about 1220 lines of output with:
checking for built-in _Bool... yes
checking size of short... configure: error: cannot determine a size
for short

This error has been present for at least 3 days.
I am running a custom kernel: The ONLY change from GENERIC is to enable
mroute.
I will replicate the issue with a generic kernel if required.
Hardware is a Sun Ultra5.
Output of dmesg:
console is keyboard/display
