Hi
I need to do a ISA port I/O operations from USER space, i.e. not by
building a driver. Is this possible ? I'v tried to access /dev/mem at 0x0000a000
+ port-number but I'v obtained nonsense.
I'v tried 'asm("inp ...' but I'v got a signal 11.
Is there a way to do port access from user space in a Unix portable
way (on i386 ISA machines) ?
I want to do a parallell port controled device, and I need to access
the lpt port signals.
Thanks.
