Quirk.
I do most of my work from a workstation running an Xserver. I open an
xterm, log on to the other hosts in my net, and have them open a new
xterm back to my server.
Here's the problem:
$ w
12:15PM up 4:34, 0 users, load averages: 1.07, 1.08, 1.08
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE WHAT
$ finger
No one logged on.
Again, this happens when the "logon" is an Xterm sent back from the client
machine. In a sense, I'm *not* logged on (per se.), yet I am.
With me on that?
Comments?
