APM

Am I missing something very obvious, is there some "trick" to getting apm
support working on i386 boxes, or is this broken, and in any of those
cases, how can I as a non-coder help get this functional? I've had
various snapshot kernels that DID have functional apm support, and the
apm test floppy put out pre-2.5 worked well on my box, but so far, none of
the release versions have. I've also cvs-up'd as of yesterday, and no
joy. The box in question is a P2 system using an intel se440bx (seattle)
motherboard. Dmesg follows, kernel compiled with most of the things I
don't need or have stripped away, and APM_DEBUG added. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!
