ld error

Hi,

 I am running Obsd 2.5 on PentiumII

 while compiling gimp 1.1.6,
 ld stop whith this error :

...[a lot of RRS text relocation]...
ld: Lib.o: RRS text relocation at 0x16664 for "__GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_"
ld: internal error: RRS relocs exceed allocation 4222


 how can I tell ld to use more cells in the text allocation table ?
