compiling sendmail+sasl

How do I compile sendmail with Sasl support ?
The sendmail documentation says:
Compile sendmail with the correct options, i.e., add 

APPENDDEF(`confENVDEF', `-DSASL')
APPENDDEF(`conf_sendmail_LIBS', `-lsasl')

to your site.config.m4 (or OS specific) file in devtools/Site. You maybe
need to set: 
APPENDDEF(`confLIBDIRS', `-L/PATH/TO/SASL/lib') 
APPENDDEF(`confINCDIRS', `-I/PATH/TO/SASL/include') 

I didn´t find any devtools/Site in my sendmail tree (actualy, I didn´t
find it in my whole HD).

So, where should I add that ? How should I compile it ?
