SSH connection problems

Hello,

First off to warn everyone Linux User -> Fresh OpenBSD User ;)

I have just installed OpenBSD 2.7 frssh install and have realized that
for some reason I can't connect to the machine from the outside world as
any user.

What has me really stumped is the fact that ssh localhost works and it
also works from the internal lan ( this machine is a Dual Homed Host).
There is no firewall in the way and anyways the behavior seems more like
inetd since I connect but get

ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host

Now I have checked out the /etc/hosts.allow /etc/hosts.deny files which
didn't exist at first but I did create them with ALL: ALL in hosts.allow
for debugging purposes and nothing in the hosts.deny file.

Does anyone know if OpenBSD's sshd daemon is compiled against libwrap in
the first place?

SSH Version OpenSSH_2.1.1, protocol versions 1.5/2.0.
Compiled with SSL (0x0090581f).
debug: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug: Applying options for *
debug: Seeding random number generator
debug: ssh_connect: getuid 500 geteuid 0 anon 0
debug: Connecting to goofy.xxxxx.xxx [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] port 22.
debug: Allocated local port 1018.
debug: Connection established.
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
debug: Calling cleanup 0x805db00(0x0)

Not helping any is the fact there are no logs in /var/log/messages about
any of this????

This box is connected to the net through PPPoE and is currently running
ipnat and ipf with the default firewall rules.

Thanks for any help,
Steven
