hang on `make build`

I've got an Intel box, fresh install of 2.7. I copy the CVS tree off
the CD, per the instructions on the insert. I pull down the 2.7-stable
branch with:

# cd /usr
# cvs update -PAd -rOPENBSD_2_7 src

My src tree is current to about 2330 GMT, Oct 09.

Nothing in /usr/obj. I do:

# cd /usr/src
# find . -type l -name obj | xargs rm
# make cleandir
# make obj

# cd /usr/src/etc && make DESTDIR=/ distrib-dirs

I compile a new kernel, which proceeds without error, and boot the
new kernel. Upon reboot, I do:

# cd /usr/src
# make build

It chugs along for around 5 hours (this is a P90), then gets to:

===> share/tabset
===> share/termtypes
../../usr.bin/tic/tic -I -x termtypes.master | sed  -e 's,/usr/share/lib/tabset,
/usr/share/tabset,g'  -e 's,/usr/lib/tabset,/usr/share/tabset,g'  > terminfo.src
cap_mkdb -i -f terminfo terminfo.src

At this point it hangs. No error, but any open connections time out, and
the box is completely unresponsive, including on console. I have to power
cycle to get back up.

I'm assuming this isn't a problem with the source tree, since i haven't
seen anyone else ask about this. Anyone have any idea what I've broken?
