Well I hate to do this but ssh now just magically works...
For some reason which I can't figure out now the PPPoE connection was to
blame. Still can't figure this out but about ten minutes after I sent
the message the connection died and I had to kill it manually. As soon
as I killed pppoe a bunch of messages about users being denied started
being logged??????
Anyways after a reconnection and test everything seems fine. Can anyone
explain this one? ipnat maybe? I am using pppoe from NetBSD and a patch
that was referenced in the archives, it seems to die out after 12-15
hours of usage. Maybe the pppoe client not updateing itself for whatever
reason since the Linux PPPoE client supplied by my ISP stayed connected
for weeks at a time.
Anyways sorry for the wasted bandwidth/time,
Steven
