make build of 2.8-current with 2.7-stable problem

I wanted to build the current ports on my 2.7 system. In order to
do that I have to update to 2.8-current. The kernel compiled fine
but when I start make build it just fills up the disk and dies.
It starts configure of apache and when configure tries to check
the compiler the disk fills up.
Is this some known bug?
