Locking a Terminal

I'm hoping someone here will know of an app that'll let me lock my
terminal while I'm away much like x-lock or "Workstation lock" in NT.
I like to use my machine over SSH while at school but constantly have to
worry about the guy next to me trying to type in a "rm -rf /"
