I have xdm setup on my 2.8 system(upgrade 2.7 with snapshot then built
entire current source tree) and I have my Xsessions file setup so that
instead of the defaults it boots KDE. here is what I put in to make it boot
KDE:
#below are the defaults
# xterm &
# exec fvwm
#Here is my setup to start KDE
PATH=$PATH/usr/local/bin
exec /usr/local/bin/startkde
fi
When I log in as my normal user with xdm it works fine and KDE boots and
everything is great, but when I login as root it flashes then logs me out
again. Does anyone know the problem?(I did have KDE working fine with root
startx worked great)
