I Am tweaking my ppp.conf file
this is actually my ppp.conf:
default:
set device "!/usr/sbin/pppoe -i hme0"
set speed sync
set mtu max 1452
set mru max 1454
set timeout 0
set authname username
set authkey ********
set log local Phase tun command debug
set dial
set login
delete all
add default HISADDR
enable tcpmssfixup
I had to remove the following lines otherwise I never ca nestablish a
pppoe connection:
disable acfcomp protocomp ipv6cp
deny acfcomp
enable lqr mssfixup dns
accept lqr
the strange thing is that every example I Saw around does have lpr enabled
and acfcomp explicitely disabled. If I Try to disable acfcomp and enable
lqr I won't be able to succesfully establish a pppoe connection looks like
my ISP works like that.
I wanted to ask waht are the possible improovements disabling acfcomp and
enabling lqr since looks like I Cannot set tham as I Would ??
anyone else ahd my problem?
thanks
Rick
